Today I heard that one of my mentors from film school, Marv Newland, is acquainted with Bill Plympton. I wasn't terribly surprised by this, as the animation community is quite small, and Marv has been in the business for some time. But then I heard that is was Marv that gave Bill tips on how to become an Independent filmmaker.
